Making decision-Draft one

Growing up means making my own decisions. I think I am old enough to be myself and should be more independent. Also, let my parents identify with my decisions is very important. Accordingly, I have to start learning how to make decision for myself and being responsible for whatever decisions I make.
The hardest decision that I ever made was choosing senior high school or vocational senior high school. When I received my report card of my BC test(國中基測), I discussed with my mom which was better. She considered that I should choose a senior high school. Because of that, I would go to a college much easier.

Example for "Making Decisions"

Growing up means making my own decisions. Being an eighteen-year-old girl, I know I am old enough to be responsible for whatever decisions I make. That is to say, I am no longer the innocent girl I used to be; I am becoming more self-reliant and independent. Therefore, I should start learning to decide for myself.

The hardest decision that I ever made was to decide to break up with my boyfriend the other day. We parted due to a difference of opinion. I first met him during a Christmas party two years ago and we had been dating ever since. It was fun at first, but things began to get dull in our relationship. Later, I found we could not get along together because we were opposite to each other in every way. There is no use arguing about who was more to blame—it’s all past history.

Dear all,
We're going to focus on one-paragraph free writing.

Example 4-Autobiography

In spring of 1984, a cute baby girl was born in Tainan city. That is me. My name is Chian Huey Lay. There are four members in my family. My father is a simple and down-to-earth person. My mother, a career woman, is very gentle. When I was a child, my parents paid much attention to the development of my character. Although they used to be strict with me, they are really wonderful. My sister is always a good example to me. She studies in the Department of Material Science & Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. I am very lucky to be brought up in such a healthy and harmonious environment so that I have a positive perspective toward life.

I study in Tainan Commercial Vocational High Senior School and major in Data Processing. I am so glad that I chose it and found my favorite. Each school day to me is full of joy and fun. Under the teachers’ instruction, I equip myself with Chinese and English typing skills. I pass the Chinese Typing Test at the speed of 70 words per minute. Also, I come in third in the Computer Software Application Qualifying Examination. I am so happy that I can make it. Besides studying, I do enjoy my extracurricular activities. For example, I made some good friends in the Volleyball Club, and learned what teamwork is all about. In my leisure time, I like to play computer games. In my opinion, to play the games well takes not only quick response but also smart strategies. Playing computer games is so interesting and exciting to me that sometimes it makes me feel how marvelous it would be if I could become a program designer.

In the near future, I hope I can make great progress in my schoolwork, strengthen my English communication ability, and promote my EQ to improve my interpersonal relationship. In addition, the more I understand about computer applications, the more I want to be a program designer. I know that designing programs is not easy at all, but I will do my best to reach my goal.

Example 3-Autobiography

I am Kuan-ting Kang, an eighteen-year-old active girl from Tainan. I have an English name called Tanya. There are four people in my family. My father is a worker, my mother is a housewife, and my elder brother is a college student now. I love the warm and comfortable feeling of my family. I must say I am lucky enough to grow in such a great home.

I like to play basketball, volleyball, and badminton. I used to be a member of the badminton club. Now I am a member of the volleyball team in my class. Our team always wins the championship in the friendly competitions. I believe it is because of our constant practice and our strong team spirit. On the other hand, I also like some quiet activities like singing songs and gift wrapping. The former helps me relieve my pressure and the latter makes me become more artistic.

After the Joint Entrance Examination for Senior High Schools, I was admitted to National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School, and I chose the Data Processing Department.

In the first year, I was always on the top five of my class. When I was a second grader, I took part in Homepage Design Contest held by the school and I got the first place. These things built myself-confidence. Also, I used to serve as a class treasure; now I am elected as a class leader because I am earnest in the eyes of my classmates.

I have made up my mind to study Information Management after my graduation from vocational high school. I hope that I can pass the Joint Entrance Examination to colleges, and get into a good technical university. In order to have my dream come true, I will do my level best.

Example 2-Autobiography

My name is Hao-Chu Kao, I am studying in National Tainan Commercial Vocational School. There are four people in my family. My father was a supervisor of the personnel department at a school. He retired at the age of sixty-five. He often brought some books for me about literature when I was young. My mother was a nurse at Chi-Mai Hospital, but she resigned after marriage. She is a housewife now, and she is a good cook, too. The dishes she cooks are delicious and tasty. My brother is studying in a two-year junior college.

I was born in Taichung. My family lived in the dormitory provided by my father’s school. My parents usually accompanied my brother and me to go to the Jong-Jen Park to take a walk in the afternoon. There were brilliant and rich crops under the Jeou-Chiu Bridge. I liked playing with children in the neighborhood, so I enjoyed myself every day. We moved to Tainan on account of my father’s transfer to a new school during my kindergarten days.

I entered the elementary school at the age of seven. I often went to school on foot every day because it was a distance of five minutes' walk from my house. My classmates were mostly my neighbors. We often played "Simon says", "hide-and-seek", "jumping chess", and "Monopoly" etc, we got on with each other. In my fifth grade, I had learned painting, and I won the second prize in a cartoon drawing.

In junior high school, I made a spurt of progress in Chinese Literature, and had high marks at the monthly exams. I was especially grateful to my Chinese teacher for her instruction. Besides, I was interested in Biology and Earth Science, too. My class participated in the Boy Scouts Camping Activity of the school. We put up a tent, cooked a meal in the wild, had campfire party, and played operations etc. We really had a good time.

I took senior high school entrance exam two and a half years ago, and fortunately I entered the Accounting Department of my school. In freshman year, I got the chance to sing English songs, and introduce myself in English Conversation Club. It’s a club that makes me understand the difference between Chinese and Western literature. In junior year, I had an experience to watch some slides and films about pyramids and mummies of Egypt, impressionists' painting, tap dance, western style buildings, “PATCH ADAMS”, Hwang Mountain of China, and classical music in Art Appreciation Club. I think I can broaden my scope of knowledge by participating in the club.

Example 1-Autobiography

My name is Hu Yu-Ming. I am studying in National Tainan Commercial Vocational School. There are six people in my family. My father is a worker. My mother is a housewife. My grandfather and grandmother live with us. I have a brother. Now let me introduce myself.

I live in Kuang-Tien where there is a small village with serene beauty. In my elementary school days, my classmates were almost all my neighbors. Playing hide-and-seek, skipping ropes, etc. were our activities. During my childhood, my life was colorful and happy. Before I graduated, my father asked me to take a private school entrance exam in order to go to a nice school. But my grades were not good enough. So I study in a common school.

When I studied in the junior high school, my grades were bad, especially in English. My teacher, Miss Chang, taught me how to study every subject. A year later, my grades got better except in English. One day, a new English teacher came to my school. I was lucky to be taught by her. My new English teacher, Miss Li, was an excellent teacher. During the class, she taught me how to learn English. My English grades became better and better from then on. Sometimes I made a mistake, I was not blamed. She always wanted me to face the problem and solved it. I felt she was a nice teacher in my Junior High School life.

After the Joint Entrance Examination of Senior High Schools, I didn’t get good grades. So I chose to enter a vocational school and majored in accounting. At first, everyone told me not to study accounting because it is hard to do it well, but I have confidence in myself. I’m so interested in accounting that I always got excellent grades. I think I make a right decision. I have decided that I will choose Accounting Department to major in the future. I must take my parents' advice in my mind that I choose what I love and love what I have chosen.
